Faces of the Mekong

The Mekong is called the mother of all rivers in Southeast Asia with an estimated length of 4350 km that makes it the 12th longest river in the world.
So many communities rely on the diverse ecosystem of the Mekong delta which sustains livelihood for over 60 million people across seven countries which runs from the high Tibetan plateau through China, Burma, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia & Vietnam.
The Mekong River is facing a couple of hydroelectric power plant projects that could be a threat to the ecological system of the second most biodiverse river on Earth.

We would like to dedicate this series of photos to the lovely faces of the Mekong.
